I assumed my four-year-old was still considered at the lower end of a child. But these boots are already too small for him. Can barely fit in without socks or shoes. But I don't know how he's going to wear these thin boots without anything else to complete his journey of trick-or-treat. Look nice though but really too small. This review is from: Spider-Man Child Boot Covers (Toy) We got these as an accessory to a basic Spider-man costume for our son. I only expected to get one Halloween out of them, and that's exactly what happened. The 'one size' can be forced over toddler or kid size 12 sneakers, but only with effort and some minor damage. They are NOT stretchable, which is what we originally expected. Note that if you used these as socks or over socks, you will have better results, but I would recommend putting some kind of tacky tape or something like moleskin on the bottom for traction as they are super slippery. Our son was going to be outside trick-or-treating, so we wanted him to have shoes on. I forced these over his shoes with some effort. They worked as expected and survived all his Halloween activities. If you want to complete your child's costume, these will probably do the trick.
